This is where we all strive to be in our careers. When you reach this level, you have Brand Power which translates into Brand Equity™. Opportunities find their way to you and influence grows exponentially.

It is similar to the notion of an “overnight success.” Anyone who has found themselves in a position of overnight success will tell you it took many years of hard work to get there.

But don't rest too easy, though. Many mid to senior level careers can begin to stall if they don’t keep themselves RELEVANT. Organizations are changing faster than ever. Make it a practice to routinely re-examine your assumptions to be sure they still fit. If you have moved from one organization to another, also remember cultures are VERY different. Do NOT assume what worked in one organization will work in another. Maintain a profound respect for the organization as a “living, breathing organism of it’s own” and learn more about how to influence SYSTEMS. Look for where you can have LEVERAGE and be a catalyst for positive change. And remember, never assume that your credibility is ESTABLISHED with all players. This is one of the big missed opportunities, even in the quadrant of Brand Power.
